My skill set evolved after 20 years in the media and
adjacent fields and includes experience as a:
Broadcaster
Promotion Director
Spokesperson
Stand-up Comedian
Copy/release/speech writer
Fundraiser
Event Coordinator
Emcee/Host
Columnist
Project Manager
After too many radio mornings beginning with a 3:00am
wake up call I simply had to get some sleep, so I retired.
I looked at the skills I had honed over my career and
much as I loved being on the air, it was promotions
where I had the opportunity to use all my talents.
Brain-storming, event planning, creating excitement,
getting press, hosting the event - I could do it all.
Me and my left brain
During those radio years I twice left the broadcast
booth to pursue my passions.
I worked in film promotions,
bar promotions and radio promotions. All different and
challenging worlds in which I learned plenty.
It was time to do it for myself.
I opened Left Brain Promotions in 2001 ostensibly to
focus on event planning and promotions.
I soon discovered that a much-coveted media contact list
and the relationships I have with those on it was becoming my focus.
I know how the media think and what gets their attention.
I know when to push and when to back off. Striking that balance,
and providing engaging guests and stories has earned me the
essential trust of my contacts in the media.
My specialty is publicity in Canada. I handle concert
tours, book launches and signings, people and their
products, services and talents.

I still work on promotions and events. It all comes
down to the same skills and passion... creating
promotions, events, excitement, media interest,
water cooler talk, a buzz - give it any name, that is
what I thrive on.
The creative and brilliant minds I have met along
the way are a consortium of talents available to all
my clients. Please visit
